Know someone buying a home?
Don’t let your Veteran and military friends miss out on the opportunity to discover this home!
This beautiful home, only one block from Donner Lake, is one of a kind! Owners of the forty-three cabins in this close-knit community have private access to their own gated beach with picnic tables, paddle board storage racks and places for kayaks, two permanent piers with hookups for boats, benches for relaxing, and a roped off swimming area with a floating swim raft. At the front of this charming cabin is a natural spring-fed pond that spills into a whimsical water wheel. Enjoy the view on a porch swing on the wrap around deck, which is unusually large for entertaining. It includes a screened porch for dining on rainy days or for playing board games or table tennis. (A ping pong table is included!) Below the deck level is a large basement with lots of shelves for storage, a full shop for woodworking or other projects, and a garage for parking. There is a side room that can store a wave runner or other small watercraft, and an area outside for storing a boat when not in use. Stairs from the basement lead up to the kitchen, which features double ovens, lots of counter space, custom cabinets, and a bank of windows, flooding the space with light. A powder room is centrally located off the kitchen. In the living room there is a large gas fireplace, a dining area, and a breathtaking view of the forested area on the North side, which includes a massive granite boulder. Beyond the living room is a large master bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and French doors leading out onto the deck. There are hookups for cable T.V. and high-speed internet, which are also in the living room. The master bedroom, with plenty of room for a king-sized bed, has an ensuite bathroom with a skylight, a soaking tub with a stunning view, and a walk-in shower. (All of this living area is on the ground floor, and there are no stairs leading up to the deck. It is handicapped accessible, and even has a ramp from the upper parking spaces to the entrance.) The bedrooms upstairs have their own dedicated bathrooms. The guest room has a dormer window with a view of the forested area, a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, and can sleep two people. The large main bedroom can sleep four people (or six using bunkbeds), and includes two lofts for extra sleeping spots if desired. This room has enough space for office furniture, bookcases, and storage for children’s books and games. This enchanting cabin is uniquely impressive with its combination of old Tahoe charm and upscale touches. It’s a must see!
